Henry Thomas, who has worked for Bournemouth-based Drewlec Electrical Services since 2007, has received a promotion and will now be overseeing a number of new projects for the firm and our existing servicing & maintenance contracts.
Henry has been promoted to Technical Supervisor – Fire Alarms at the electrical services business, which is part of the family-owned Drewitt Group and employs 12 people across the south, continues to grow. As construction restarts and businesses prepare to reopen, Drewlec has taken on several new fire alarm projects in Dorset & Hampshire including The Lantern Community retail shop at Ringwood and the Upgrade fire alarms at Bournemouth Police Station.

With over 10 years’ experience as a fire alarm engineer, Henry will now take on a range of administrative and site-based duties that are fundamental to the business’ operations. In his new role, Henry will be responsible for ensuring Drewlec’s fire alarm and emergency lighting work complies with all necessary regulations, signing off completed projects and undertaking quality control visits across all sites.
Henry will also now play an essential role in maintaining the company’s strong track record of high standard workmanship including setting, reviewing and planning training requirements across the company. He will also be central to the planning of projects and will coordinate onsite labour and subcontractors as required.
